&Nbsp;Canon a anunţat noul model DSLR de vârf, EOS-1D X, care va fi lansat oficial în luna martie 2012, cu un preţ de retail de 6.800 de dolari.
Noul EOS-1D X va fi vârful de gamă al DSLR-urilor Canon şi va înlocui atât modelul EOS-1Ds Mark III cât şi EOS-1D Mark IV, fiind echipat cu un senzor CMOS full-frame de 18 Mpx, înregistrare video full HD şi un număr de 12 cadre pe secundă. Canon promite că acest senzor va avea cel mai mic nivel de zgomot de imagine întâlnit până acum. Aparatul va avea două procesoare de imagine Dual DIGIC 5plus, cu o conversie analog-digitală pe 14 biţi şi o viteză de 12 cadre pe secundă.
Merită menţionat şi faptul că pe lângă cele două procesoare pentru imagini camera dispune şi de un procesor DIGIC 4 pentru măsurarea luminii şi pentru autofocalizare. O altă noutate este un nou motor de curăţare a prafului de pe senzor - Ultrasonic Wave Motion Cleaning. Modelul va avea o plajă ISO foarte mare, între 100 şi 51.200, cu posibilităţi de coborâre a nivelului de sensibilitate la 50 sau a creşterii până la 102.400 (H1) si 204.800 (H2).
