Which advanced long zoom is good?

If you're asking for long zoom, a compact and low-light performance, then you will never be happy with your camera. I was using an Olympus Mju 1040 for 2 years and after some time, I just wasn't satisfied with the low light. I still wasn't prepared for anything bulkier than a compact and decided on the Fuji F200EXR which is 2nd only to the Panasonic LX3 for low-light performance compacts. Still I wasn't happy with it and I finally dived into my first dSLR the Pentax K-x with the standard dual lens kit as well as a great prime lens the FA50mm f/1.4. This baby takes night shots as bright as day with absolutely minimal light. I've never been happier. I still only have a zoom lens that covers barely 7x but that's good enough for me. First ask yourself, do you want to compromise just because of portability and find yourself never happy with your low-light photography results? Second, do you really need zoom? My friends always talk about telephoto lens for the F1 and Airshows, but nothing captures
